My name is Phyanna Trujillo. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2018 and have been in the medical field since 2010. My drive has always been in medicine; thus, the sensible path was to pursue a nursing career. Of course, I can give you the cliché reason why I chose nursing, “because I wanted to make a difference.” But I won’t! If I can be honest, I chose a nursing career for the main person in my life, my son. As a single mom, a career in nursing certainly helped in raising him to be the fine young man he is today. With over a decade of commitment to human services, it is without certainty that I possess the empathy, patience and compassion to take care of a fellow human in their time of need.
As with any profession, there are great days and days when you question the path taken. As for me, a career that was initially motivated by necessity led me to my true passion for aesthetics. I’ve learned through caring for very sick patients, that simplest pleasures such as the ability to catch sunlight looking out an opened window, a cleansing bath, or even brushed hair, can exude beauty, and bring a smile to their face. As of 2021, I dedicated my specification to aesthetic medicine. I truly believe outer beauty has a direct reflection of overall wellness. Someone with a healthy lifestyle, mental well-being with glowing skin, will display confidence and self-assurance. Conversely, neglecting physical health can manifest somatically into visible signs of poor well-being.
